    2017 Spring Practice

Same lame argument over and over. These schools allowed more points per game than GT last year: FSU Oklahoma Penn State USCw (tie) Tennessee Oklahoma State Texas A&M Pitt North Carolina Arkansas Kentucky Ole Miss Mississippi State Boston College Texas Notre Dame UCLA OREGON MIZZOU DUKE MICHIGAN...

You're seriously going to start that again?

AL HS coach fired for criticizing AL

My first thought is he must have been losing football games. We really don't know the whole story but we all know that Alabama is not the most principled program when it comes to recruiting. Then again you don't get the number one class seven years in a row by being principled. The high school...

Is This year ours in the ACC?

Any scheme change will be determined by the ability of our players.

Jakob Brashear (no bad news here)

The recruits won't line up for their first college drill until August.

    Another Overrated Ga Class

I can't wait to see the pictures of their spring game sell out!

    ACC v Ga Tech

Paul is playing a strategy to put pressure on the conference by raising cane in the media. Same thing as arguing a call with the officials. Hes working on the next call. We'll see if the strategy works when the schedule comes out next year. We all know how calculated CPJ is.

By the time you get the sample size you want your coach is fired.

    23 wins

We never have done better on a consistent basis so why do you think we should now?

    George Godsey

Loved watching all the dwags leave before half time that afternoon in Athens. Godsey's run was priceless.

Can Georgia Tech win a National Championship with CPJ?

I'm going to say we're closer than people think. I like what we're doing at GT and I'm hoping the new AD helps us over a few more humps. I just hope the stars align one more time before I die.

Life after Paul Johnson.... hypothetical question

Very well said. I would go so far as to say most of the factory head coaches or assistants for that matter would have trouble at Tech. Those guys would not be able to recruit the same type athletes. I think people need to be careful when trying to evaluate our coaches especially the head coach...

Life after Paul Johnson.... hypothetical question

No doubt CPJ does a great job running this system but I think there are others who could run the system at a similar rate of efficiency. Paul has the whole package of not only running the offense with efficiency but also doing all the other thousands of things that goes along with being the head...

Life after Paul Johnson.... hypothetical question

Ralph was ahead of his time and unbelievably intelligent but he didn't pull in top 30 recruiting classes consistently, he didn't at Maryland and would not do any better than this staff is doing today at Tech. The only way I would go away from this scheme is 1. our recruiting limitations...

Life after Paul Johnson.... hypothetical question

None of those guys would win consistently at Tech with what they run now.

Life after Paul Johnson.... hypothetical question

Ralph got fired at Maryland because he couldn't win with lesser athletes. Chan got fired here because he couldn't win with the guys he recruited here. If everyone starts running the triple from under center then yes find somebody that runs something that's unique. Until then the triple from...

Life after Paul Johnson.... hypothetical question

Paul doesn't run that type of belly series but he could. The T formation was what developed into the bone. The early wishbone teams ran it.

Life after Paul Johnson.... hypothetical question

OK, we don't line up the halfbacks in the backfield and most of the Time we run two splits so call it what you want. They used to call it the wingbone then Hammbone etc but it's basically the Wishbone. The schemes are mostly the same as I ran in the 80s. The trap and trap option came from the I...
