How do I report an issue or problem?

First, please review this FAQ in full in case the issue you are experiencing is already documented.

If you are experiencing an issue that is not documented here, please use the contact us form and include as much detail as possible so that we can help resolve the issue. Simply stating that you are experiencing a problem is often not enough.

The following additional details can be very useful in helping to diagnose the issue:

• Steps to reproduce the problem
• Current behavior and expected behavior
• Screenshot displaying the problem

What does this checkmark icon mean?

This means that the user is a verified Georgia Tech Athlete (former, current, or future). We reached out to a couple of GT athletes we already knew and asked if they were willing to be recognized as such on the site. We will leave it up to each verified athlete whether or not they want to divulge who they are. We are just testing the waters with this feature.

My password is not working. How do I reset my password?

Please use the password reset feature.

Why am I receiving so many emails from the site?

Depending on your preferences and watched threads/forums, the site may notify you if there are new posts.

To disable all watched threads/forums emails:

• Make sure you are logged in first
• In your account Preferences, uncheck the following options:
• Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
• and receive email notifications of replies
• Unwatch any Watched Threads
• Unwatch any Watched Forums

Why didn't I receive an email when I tried to reset my password?

Most likely, this is because your email service mistakenly classified the password reset email as spam. Please check the Spam or Junk mailbox of your email account.

Error Message: "Your account has temporarily been locked due to failed login attempts."

For security purposes, the site will lock out accounts after four or more failed login attempts. Please retry again in 15 minutes. If you forgot your password, please use the password reset feature.

Error Message: "Forbidden: You don't have permission..." when I try to create a new thread or post a reply.

There is a security system running on the server that tries to detect spam by content. So if anyone tries to post any content that has any words often associated with spam, the site won't let you post it.

Please review what you are trying to post and consider rewording your message. There are false positives every now and then but not enough to consider disabling the security system entirely. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Why does the site ask me trivia questions when I attempt to register or login? What's the answer?

This is a CAPTCHA to prevent spambots from registering accounts on the site. All the answers to the questions are easily searchable on the internet.
