There were times this past season when JP Tokoto was barely the tenth best player on the floor. Now he is declaring for the NBA draft. Do you have to declare for the draft in order make it into the D-league?

Meeks, Johnson, and Paige are legit prospects. Maybe Hicks will get there. But Tokoto managed to score less than seven points a game. What is he thinking?

He had a lot of negative comments about how Roy wasn't developing him properly and so he didn't think another year would do him any good. We'll see what happens, but it's certainly a shocking decision

He also didn't sign with an agent so can come back I think. Maybe he sees the emergence of Theo Pinson, along with the potential additions of Jaylen Brown and/or Brandon Ingram as the writing on the wall. Lack of player development has been a HUGE concern in Tar Heel nation the past few years. If he isn't going to get better, won't increase his draft stock, and may even lose PT to underclassmen at UNC next year, why not bail now why you're healthy and can make some money? He can get the degree at any time. Honestly one of the biggest reasons this was a surprise to me is he's passing up the chance to play for a team next year that should start off next season easily Top 5.

He was looking good in the draft workouts on nba network, the nba is about potential over production now. But they made some valid points y, 15 of the first round draft picks picked played in the nba d list.
