This morning I was trying to come up with more ideas to engage GT fans. An idea I floated to the wife - and if you read no further, this obviously means it was rejected - was a late summer/early fall pep rally themed around a Russell Athletics bonfire. Make.That.Stuff.Burn. From the fire of course Adidas gear and the 2018 season rises from the ashes. I am a man of symbolism ;) Practically speaking, there could be a safe bonfire, and there'd be a table to donate the old clothes to Goodwill or some other charity. Then, GT could hand out Russell labeled token items that folks can throw in the fire. If GT wants to make a buck, have some tables/tents with Adidas gear. It's effectively an exchange event. Have Stansbury or someone give a motivational speech, bring out some food trucks or Varsity tent, and you have a nice evening. Horrible idea though :)
