We got an "F"?

3 wins and 9 losses? Even UGA grads can calculate that as an F. It was a very disappointing year and I think SA's, Coaches and Fans would all agree. I am still proud of the effort our SA's continued to give down to the last second of the last game.

Yeah it was an F season basically, but I think the OP is probably more indignant at the lack of any real analysis. Writer basically checked preseason ranking, checked season record and awarded an F.

I was kinda like that in school. I didn't like when teachers just rubber-stamped my grade. I wanted them to do some work too.

Good one about calculations - that's pretty funny. I just found it interesting that other teams (i.e. South Carolina, Maryland, Tulane who were also 3-9) got a better grade than us, especially considering our almost wins and our schedule.

Final rankings show us at 88! So are teams 89-125 F minus?

F- in my opinion. One win over a P5 team is a really sad. Our talent base and depth must improve. I don't think we can "hope for" a great season every 3-4 years, but have to accept 6-6 or worse the rest of the time. I know that is not where we are at right now, but if we get #50-#80 recruiting classes stacked on top of each other, this could get much worse. No grade worse than F though.

I agree with the F grade. I understand the lack of analysis, but its an appropriate grade because most people outside of our fan base expected us to have a good season because of last year. I would think most media/writers and regular college football fans would have thought 10-2/9-3 for us this year would be expected and 3-9 is definitely not that. Injuries and the schedule obviously made things a little more difficult, but it doesn't matter, we still had a bad season and did not perform well when we needed to.

You could argue a D could be the right grade, seeing that we were competitive or close in almost every game, but didn't finish. But a D is technically passing in the grading scale now days, and we definitely did not have a passing grade at 3-9.

What's even worse in my book is that BR listed the top 250 college football players, and not a single Tech player was listed. I'm sorry, but regardless of the results of this past season, we SHOULD have at least a couple of players in the top 250. After the Orange Bowl win, Justin was considered one of the top QB's in the country, and even he doesn't make the top 250 now. Just because he was unable to reproduce the results of 2014 doesn't mean he is suddenly no good. It's pure BS in my book.

And if you turned in a half page paper with drool covering it when you were expected to produces a 10 page well though out paper then you shouldn't expect more than a rubber stamp grade. The grade was a forgone conclusion based on what was turned in.

I mean it was an F. But like a 50% not like a 20%

Trust me that's a big difference between kids in my class. The 50% actually has a shot at passing after another try. The 20% kid? We'll call them Kansas.

Well, @JacketFromUGA explained it well. We got an F but it wasn't like a 20. More like a 68 (69 was F back in my day). The team that got the 20 flat out didn't try. We tried but stuff (injuries, etc.) got in the way, thus we failed with honor?
