Sitting on my lazy ***, watching TV and caught one of the compilation videos of our Vets returning home to surprise their families. Seeing the emotions of the families reunited, choked me up to say the least. My heart truly goes out to those families who are never reunited when we lose a service member. The sacrifices our Vets and their families make, to protect us, are never appreciated enough. God bless our nation's Vets and their families. I can not express my appreciation adequately.

My family was fortunate in that all our relatives who served were able to return home to their loved ones. My heart aches for those families who have to deal with either the loss of a loved one or with the daily reality of one who is permanently disabled. I am thankful for those that choose to serve and for their families who sacrifice their own needs to protect our freedom.
