Venezuela uprising today 04/30

When the sun goes down tonight blood will flow in the streets. Population has been disarmed and Maduro still controls the military and police. Appears intel agencies also believe there is a large Cuban contingent there to prop Maduro up with force.

Step one take citizens weapons, step two control speech, step three....violently put down any resistance....the population has no means to fight back. The gift of socialism.

Going to sound terrible because of the reality on the ground in Venezuela, but this will be a good thing for Trump and to a lesser degree Biden. It will kill Bernie Sanders election chances. If we have to actually send troops to Venezuela the tide of socialism in America will shift hard right.

I’m admittedly a bit torn.

This could be Panama all over again. Or it could become very messy. I’m personally reluctant to shed American blood over a fiasco created by Venezuelans. At some point we need to let other nations fix their own .

But if Russia wants to play in our sandbox.....give Ukraine every weapon possible to play in their sandbox also. Ditto Taiwan and China. If Cuba wants to flex we can embargo their asses again.

Somehow some way, we always add about 5 more countries every year where we have troops. It’s part of how you end up with an $800B defense budget.
