I don't think / hope we will overuse pitchers but have them peaking in a month. We have tremendous depth of pitchers (~17). We may get Finley back and haven't heard about the severity of Dalton's injury (if no surgery he may be back too). Looking at who pitched well this weekend:

Friday was Maxwell and Dawson doing well. Huff and Medich were hittable.
Saturday Bartnicki was better going 1.2 with 0 ER and but 1.8 WHHIP. McGuire, Finateri and Cody were all hittable.
Sunday Grissom did well - gave up 3 ER with in 4.2, but he had errors behind him. Putting the leadoff runner on in second and third due to errors really messes with a pitcher. Dawson and Medich were good. It was Sam Crawford giving up 4 that really made it interesting. Of most concern Sunday was we only had 1 SO.
It comes down to consistency and getting the outs with 2 strikes. I'm hopeful that the tweaks made to our pitchers will help as their reps increase and we will see more consistency. DBo has proven he knows what he is doing as far as developing pitchers; he may need to tweak what he is doing for college ball. With our high RPI (#7 overall, #14 non-Conf), we're very likely to get to the NCAAs. (Nothing is guaranteed in baseball Charlie Brown.) So it's all about breaking through and winning a regional. We need to know who to go to when the games are even more important. I've got no problem with throwing lots of guys in there to get ready for the postseason. And not overusing our better pitchers so they are fresher in postseason. And throw even more in our 5 remaining non-ACC games.
