VT had 296 total yards, and 17 points, and won. They also "won" time of possession 35-25. UNC turned the ball over 3 times, but VT turned it over twice. They only had 25 yards of penalties, while UNC had 44.</p><p></p><p>UNC went 2 out of 3 on 4th down (you'd think they won with just that stat), but they only went 2-10 on 3rd. VT wasn't much better at 6-13 on 3rd down.</p><p></p><p>VT made it a defensive battle. They had 6 sacks, and 9 tackles for loss.</p><p></p><p>Josh Downs still got 123 yards receiving on 8 receptions. UNC averaged 12.2 yards per catch. Their yards per attempt was a somewhat acceptable 6.3 yards per attempt.</p><p></p><p>This is Sam Howell's game.
