So it isn't just the money, it is the jockey as well and there are only so many jockeys worth betting on. But when they hit and the resultant buzz/wins/attention come, they are worth 10X what you spend on them. </p><p></p><p>Or you can spend top jockey money on a guy like Sartisian and have it blow up on you.
