I'm a tech grad (ME '84) and big tech fan and UGA hater (despise them). All that being said, is there any rational reason why we can expect to win? I realistically expect UGA to embarrass us (beat us by more than 4 TDs). Offensively, we seem to be near awful and so expect UGA to beat the brakes off of us next Saturday in Athens. Am I missing something? Is there any rational reason to really expect Tech to win?

Who knows? I felt that way last year and we played well.
Without King I fear the worst, but…the beauty of college football is you just never know.

Why do we let a post like this exist? Have you watched any UGA game this year?
Yes, I've watched every UGA game, always pulling for the other team to win of course. They seem significantly better than GT this year. Just wanting to know if there is really a good reason to believe we might win (apart from just blind fandom and of course hoping we win.)

Is this Clown Collins masquerading as an '84 ME???
No clown here. Genuine GT fan. I've watched every UGA game, always pulling for the other team to win of course. They seem significantly better than GT this year. Just wanting to know if there is really a good reason to believe we might win (apart from just blind fandom and of course hoping we win.)

Nah but that posters had quite a few questionable posts. I'm thinking some trailer in Athens just got wifi for the first time.
He may have just figured out what a library is. Probably doesn’t have his own device.

This argument might appease an engineer. My probability and statistics prof said that we never assign a probability of either 0 or 100 to an event. So I am telling you there is a chance. Not bind fandom either. It’s math.

Seems like every year we go out playing tight, want us to be loose and no silly mistakes. If our Oline run blocks like they did last year I like our chances offensively and to grind out clock and limit their possessions. Defensively we have to find a way to pressure Beck. Pass rush has come on a little better here at end of season, would like to see law of averages help us out in sack department and int department. If we have a close lead late in game we need to be aggressive offensively by taking chances with passing game and 4th downs to play keep away. They are too good offensively to let them take a chance on a game winning drive.

Key is going have the guys 110% for this game like he has been the past two years. Expect a new page or two from Faulkner like previous years as well.

Uga struggled to get things going against us last year, and they have been in general in every first half this year.

If we can get a jump on them, I think we have a really solid shot. Our defense has been pretty solid all year and will give us every chance. Philo just needs to keep dropping dimes

Short answer is no. Long answer is that UGA needs this win to stay in the CFP and beyond that needs a "statement" game. Blowing out the team that just upset #3 Miami and won in thrilling fashion in front of a nationwide audience on Thursday night will do nicely.
