Sounds like the young man has a good head on his shoulders. The time to fight abuse of power like that is not on the roadside. Let the lawyers deal with it afterward.

Oddly enough, this is how race relations improve. Young man acted professionally by all accounts, he was unfairly inconvenienced, but just made the police officers who appeared to be following process look like morons. They failed to engage their brains, but the young man did. Bravo for him!
