What was omitted from this article is the fact that since GT is using an antiquated high school offense from the 70's they are required to utilize Sony Betamax recorders consistent with the technology of that era for filming games. That was the real reason they were successful in 2008 running this offense as nobody had Betamax recorders to watch the CPJ triple option offense before they played the Yellow Jackets.
Now that GT has been forced to located another Betamax recorder and give that to their upcoming opponents along with game films, everybody is now able to successfully defend against the triple option as the "blue print" was available post 2008 season.
Or at least that's what the experts were saying for why GT never did well in a bowl game or when their opponent had two weeks to prepare for them during the regular season.
