Is the receiver that decommitted from Louisville to us a burner, seems like I heard he was? If he is I'm fine with who we have now, as matter of fact I think I like even better what we now have, but a lot of that is on paper because I haven't seen some of these guys play. Our offense may be getting even better, wish we had a power runner to go with the rest of our RBs.

My understanding was that Allen, Penson, and Harris were all big time track guys as well.

Guess this is how the game is played now. Glad we've hired the right folks to work with players .
If this was GT before Key, we probably wouldn't have the resources to keep players like this.
Everything is a negotiation now

We’re better off with him staying but this milking GT’s NIL by publicly threatening to leave is rather annoying. Glad GT hired a GM to handle all this junk.
I'm going to spin this the other way... what was wrong with our coaches making it clear to one of our most valuable players that he was worth less to the program than some unproven guys coming from G5 schools or an unproven guy who just spent a year at South Carolina?

I actually don't feel that way towards our coaches (or towards the 3 WRs coming in, I'm excited about them all, was just trying to use a bit of hyperbole to prove a point), I was playing Devil's Advocate. Nor do I have any issues with Malik. But it's funny how in your eyes Malik is the bad guy and that his three years here working his tail off and making big catch after big catch after big catch and being a guy Haynes King can count on equated to him "milking GT's NIL" rather than looking at it as GT decided that it's worth it to spend a bit more on a guy you KNOW can do the job and wants to do the job and that everyone loves. Our coaches and staff have to make business decisions and in this case they decided Malik was worth whatever extra might be coming his way. I'm all on board with that. Just as I am not knocking them for apparently deciding that we couldn't spend a large chunk of our NIL on ES (though who knows what will happen there considering he hasn't actually signed anywhere).

Rutherford / Rivers / Canion. Even without Singleton this should be one of the top units in the conference.
Interesting- you would think so. Besides HK and to a lesser extent our OL, neither of the FB preseason magazines had Tech ranked better than 8th in the conference position groups ratings. I have a feeling with the demise of FSU, much of that lack of respect will change. I can't wait until ACC media days- we need to figure out how to call out the traitor Fran Brown. I've got some ideas.

There is now serious momentum behind the rumor of Singleton coming back, too.
I don't have any idea of what the team chemistry is with Eric and Malik with the rest of the team but I wonder how open the arms are going to be.

With Malik, I can see them wide open but Eric has been in the portal almost three weeks.

I assume Malik will play Friday.
