08 was a new DC....Wommack...i think that didn't help. But johnson was a senior, if you mean still developing in the sense that he was still young in that position? But he was pretty good though. Richard and walker were seniors I think too. Morgan was a Soph. I don't know what you call a dominant defense. What is that for you? For me there is really only 2-3 dominant defenses each year in college football. The rest are really good. At georgia tech our Total D is as follows: This is total yards. This is a statistical difference and significant drop in performance. Under tenuta, statistically we were REALLY good on D. And it bares out across both categories. Dominant? Maybe not...2004 possibly...2005 possibly GT Ranked in total yards 2003 26 2004 15 2005 18 2006 28 2007 25 2008 30 (with that good DL) 2009 50 2010 61 2011 42 2012 44 2013 40 2014 78 2015 so far 57 Now I will do that same in yards per play just to compare 2003 35 2004 15 2005 23 2006 22 2007 31 2008 43 2009 101 Wommack fired 2010 74 2011 68 2012 71 Groh fired 2013 74 2014 111 2015 so far 93
