As most Tech fans know, Tech doesn't get alot of publicity, (especially football) in the Atlanta & state media outlets.With the hoopla regarding the hiring of K. Smart the AJC and WSB will really be pumping out the headlines. As for Richt and Mami, they will become the new adopted feel good story for the news paper and will have daily reports on how Saint Richt is doing. I say all this because Tech needs to get out front with their own publicity blitz. Don't know if we have sports publicity guy, it's for sure it isn't Johnson,but if we do they need to do their job, or Bobinski needs to hire a new one!JMO.

My tea leaves look kind of greenish brown. They tell me Auburn is going to win the NC and their QB will win the Heisman. Oops, that was last years tea leaves! :)

I really don't know what you expect to happen. Those are the hot stories right now. And they'll stay that way up to and through signing day. Frankly, when it comes to Tech, there isn't much to talk about right now. We're coming off 3-9. What's there to get out in front with? And PJ has been accessible to the media, for the most part. He's done a couple of interviews with a radio station in Chattanooga that is heavily SEC-centric.

Yessss. Now, if we come back and win, say, 9 games next year, we'll be the big story in the state and the region at least. So let's do that, shall we?

Not trying to be too sarcastic but, Coming off a 3-9 season, no major changes on the coaching staff, no 5 star recruits coming in, What really would be the headline? "Ga Tech looks to rebound from dismal 3-9 season by not making any major changes"

Winning is the only way we get talked about in the media or on sports talk radio. That's only because they have to acknowledge us then. If we had fired PJ or he completely cleaned house on his coaching staff, we would be getting some publicity, but that didn't happen.
