Only one person's opinion obviously but this poll ranks Georgia Tech number 56 (out of 65). It is based on recent performance and not based on history. We are only ranked better than Syracuse and Duke in the ACC. It also list all of the School's College Football Hall of Famers. The only players for Georgia Tech in the last 22 years are Joe Hamilton and Calvin Johnson. As we discuss all of the issues with Georgia Tech, it is really a gut shot to see where we stand in today's list of Power 5 Schools. Here is the link. https://www.stadiumtalk.com/s/power-5-conferences-rankings-c0f6d968d5f44dde . All of the Power 5 conferences have multiple teams in the Top 20 except 1, the ACC which only has Clemson. Our national recognition is really, really low. Though I am obviously a big GT fan, it would be nice if Miami and FSU became national powers again to improve the ACC's perception. Here is the GT comment: The Paul Johnson era at Georgia Tech probably seems like a dream to fans of the Yellow Jackets. Johnson had seven winning seasons in 11 years in Atlanta before he stepped down before the 2019 season. Johnson's replacement, Geoff Collins, has carved out a very specific niche in the three seasons since. He's gone 3-9, 3-7 and 3-9. That's the type of consistency you don't want.
