This was all I could fine on the 2022 scholarship limit .

The NCAA has yet to rule on when football programs will be required to return to the overall limit of 85 scholarship players. It was originally thought the NCAA would allow programs to go over the limit for two years after the rule takes effect – so for the 2021 and 2022 school years. That makes some sense since the extra scholarship players could naturally shake out by 2023 and it would have a chance to return on its own to normal numbers of scholarship players, or at least close to it.

Now, some college coaches are talking about how they’ve heard the NCAA is going require all football programs return to the standard limit of 85 for the 2022 season.

247Sports’ Greg Biggins said in the recent 247Sports Recruiting podcast that he’s hearing from coaches that the NCAA is expecting programs to return to the limit of 85 scholarship players by 2022.

so does anyone know how many players we have on scholarship now ? and How we would have if no leaves that are Jr's So's and Fr 's ? I could see were this could be a big problem for lots of schools.

Those not wanted will be processed. No, I don't have the numbers, but I am confident that we won't be over the 85 limit.

Scholarship limits will be at 85. The one year limit has been increased for up to 32 signees(25+7)….
The Division I Council has approved a one-year waiver of the annual signing limit and initial scholarship limits in football to allow schools to replace up to seven scholarship student-athletes who leave school after the first term or are in the transfer portal.
Both the Football Bowl and Football Championship subdivisions approved the waiver.

Dec. 15 is the first signing day of the early period.

Shouldn't they just allow Covid to not count against scholarship limits? So anyone using their extra year of eligibility doesn't count toward the 85, but does count during their typical eligibility. If they only allow extra scholarships for this year and maybe next year, then they favored the senior-heavy teams, right?
