It’s incredible to think about how different Colorado would be if Deion left tomorrow. The entire team would probably transfer, certainly given the fact that most of them have experience in the portal.

I doubt it happens (he seems somewhat committed to Colorado and has said he will only go professional if he can coach his son) but our first game could look completely different than it does now.

Truth. I can’t see Jerry wanting a bigger Persona than his. I suspect this flirtation with Deion is simply for the attention Jerry is addicted to.

Jerry is a cheap owner, who is an egomanic.

Can't see him sharing the spotlight in Dallas.

When your HOF QB who has a giant profile in the NFL because of his work as one of League's biggest broadcast talent says this, you know the issue isn't the team but the owner. That entire interview, not just the quote, is pretty indicting of what's going on in Dallas:

Why would any self- respecting HC go to Dallas? Probably for very large amounts of money, BUT also knowing you will be working for a very difficult owner. Jerry can’t help himself, he is who he is and will never change.
So the question becomes- can you win a Super Bowl in spite of the owner ?
My thoughts :
Belichek ? NO WAY !
Sanders ? Not likely.
Aikman ? See Sanders.
Sarkisian? Hmmm, maybe ?
Saban? Possibly ?
What say you?

Sarkisian. He would leave and he's essentially right there. Besides, the fans will be after his scalp for not winning the championship. "I mean, there we were! We're UT! What happened? Has to be poor coaching!!" They're worse then Bama Fns, you know.

D. Sanders would be the only one out of that group to take it if offered.

Sanders has such a huge advantage in recruiting right now due to huge name recognition and being so marketing oriented that he could sustain success at Colorado for a while. But that likely will not last forever and he is 57. But I agree it would tough to stuff Jones and Sanders in one room in terms of huge egos.

Not so sure Belichick wouldn’t take it. Not a lot of other nfl jobs beating down his door, he might have the confidence to think he can do it despite Jones, and it wouldn’t be the first time Jones tried a legend at the end of his career.

So, if you're a Colorado fan, and your coach is already entertaining other opportunities after only two seasons, how are you feeling about him and your team's future?

And if you're a Tech fan, how happy are you that we did not bring that circus to our campus?
Brings to mind the parable of two houses - one built by a wise man on rock and the other by a foolish man on sand.
