Let's look at 2016 - 2018. That would leave out the injury sunami of 2015, something I don't think anybody would blame Paul for. If we do that, Tech is fourth with 13 wins, one win behind Pitt (14), two behind VT (15) and three behind da U (16). UNC drops out because of two straight 1 - 7 years. Iow, I don't dispute your point; we should have done better, especially in 2016. What I am saying - again - is that the Coastal is always pretty close and the results, year by year, are often a matter of sheer bum luck between teams that are pretty evenly matched. If the stars align then teams can do ok, but the overall picture is of a cockpit. This is why I fail to be impressed with Rick's continual harping on Duke and Pitt. Our recent record against them isn't as good as we'd like. Oth, we've beaten VT four out of our last five games and only one of those - 2018 - was a blowout. And this is a team that consistently out recruits every team in the ACC, except FSU, da U, and Clemson. It isn't, iow, that the Coastal is "weak" or that Paul's O wasn't as effective as before; it's that the teams are evenly matched, are beating up on each other regularly, and have been doing so for years. And, as might be expected, the final results are usually due to close games between the top 4 - 5 teams in the division. A lot will change under Coach, but this balance won't. If we become the stud duck of the Coastal, he should be ACC Coach of the Decade. We'll see.
