Clemson beat UAB by one with FTs in the final seconds. VT turned the ball with two seconds left and lost by two at South Carolina. Good hoops tonight.

Sometimes I think the emphasis on time outs trumps the actual importance of time outs. Crazy that Duke didn’t challenge the catch / interception that puts them down 4

But then they drive the field and score to go up 3 and still have all 3 time outs…
Maybe I just belong in my recliner with bourbon…

Sunday games of interest:

UNC beat Lehigh 90-68, but was ahead by three early in the 2nd half. Bacot had a double double at the half.
UAB beat Marylland by three in Asheville.
Clemson came from behind to beat Davidson by three. Also in Asheville.
Cincinnati beat 0-3 Eastern Washington by 12 at home.
uga beat NCCU by ten in Athens.
As posted elsewhere, JMU beat Howard by 21.

I missed one:

Indiana hung on to beat Army by 8 in Bloomington. The score was tied with less than four minutes remaining. Mackenzie Mgbako, the 5* forward who has to stay out of trouble for six months or go to jail, has a total of 8 points and 6 rebounds against pushover opponents in the Hoosiers' 1st two games. He was commited to Duke for a while.

B12 27-4 .871 Top25 win => BYU over SD State; Top25 loss => KSU lost to USC; UCF lost to Miami
Big East 18-3 .857
ACC 25-5 .833 Top25 loss => Duke lost to AZ

Was Texas not ranked when they beat Bama?
The top 25 portion feels incomplete to me. Is it actually top 25 upsets? that would explain why Texas and Bama aren’t listed (they were both ranked)?

I was looking down the list of D1 scores from last night and there are a couple of OMG scores:

Ga State beat Toccoa Falls 122-45. Did you know there was a college at Toccoa Falls???
Kennesaw State beat Brescia 91-59. I had to Google them to discover Brescia has 700 students!!! Should the Phi Sig team play them next?
Western Carolina beat Vandy by one in Nashville!!! The SEC!!!
Cal State Northridge beat UCLA by 4!!!

Big East basketball is just built different. What a game b/w Butler and Providence. Glad we didn’t suffer the same no-foul-up-3 fate as Butler against UMass.
