But again, as a fan, I fall for words. I really thought the month of October could set the tone (avenge Pitt, beat Duke, beat UVA, beat VT) and we’d have some momentum. So far we got thrashed twice and thankfully Duke‘s defense sucks as bad as ours and we made some plays to snatch that game. What I see is more rhetoric coming about the recruiting class, some ”high level” transfers coming in, and a lot of fluff. I’ll be in the stadium this Saturday and am expecting a win because that is the pattern and because VT is as bad as we are.

[QUOTE="SOWEGA Jacket, post: 834066, member: 4334"] I’m not arguing with anyone. I responded to a poster who said UVA was good and had one of the best QB’s in the country. I don’t think UVA is that good. They are decent. They are 6-2 with the 6 wins being William and Mary, Illinois, Miami, Louisville, Duke, and GT. None are ranked or are considered good by anyone. They lost by 20 to the 1 ranked team they played. That’s why I say they are decent but they aren’t “good”. And there QB is alright but he puts up stats against teams that are just bad. Of course, he looks like a stud against us but every QB does. I don’t even know who VT will play at QB on Saturday, but I do know whoever it is will put up at least 250 yards passing on us. As for my expectations, they were and are low because in the 2.5 years of this staff they’ve shown little when it comes to 60:00 to 0:00. And that is all that matters. I fully admit I’m a grown man and I fell for the rhetoric. I still hope all the rhetoric turns out being real, but the data speaks for itself. I fully expect the OLinemen to whiff, etc because I agree it takes several years to build the lines which is why wins and losses do not matter to me now or in year 1 or 2. But there is no reason that our upperclassmen in the secondary continue to take bad angles and not wrap up. None. There is no reason we have to burn timeouts because we don’t know how to manage a clock. Our QB is obviously not being coached at all regarding the mental aspects of QB.
