All Sports have the same success formula.
Recruit the best and supply great coaching and compete for championships.
Lesser talent with really great coaching can reach post season.
Great talent and mediocre coaching can reach post season.
Which of our sports have post season combination, and growth to that goal?

I can only comment on football and men’s BB.

Football we are still short some key players to get to the CFP. We have improved a great deal since Key became the HC. I like the coaching staff a lot. Recruiting is better. Still we need more really good players along the DL and at WR and RB to get to the CFP level.

Basketball. Coaching is still up in the air. Recruiting is much better and that was essential. We are still short enough really good players to make the NCAAT. Especially with the lengthy injuries suffered this season.

I don’t see either program making either tge CFP or NCAAT next year but if pressed I would say BB has a better chance to make post season play.

Simply an opinion.

Basketball will always have a better chance at post-season. Unless your schedule is horrific, 18-11 will likely get you in. In football, you have to be at least 10-2 in the ACC if not 11-1.

Last season only one at large team got in with under 20 wins. Michigan State with 19 wins. 18-11 you are NIT bound.
