Money would have made it easier to find more guys like Parker Braun around the country.(At least similar in desires and work ethic) With basically only the coaches reviewing film, talking to HS coaches, etc. it is extremely likely that many guys who had very good athletic ability and fit in with CPJ very well were not able to be found by GT precisely because of lack of money. Not trying to entirely excuse this, but support staff do go a lot farther than you are allowing. I doubt that the mutt coaches spend 40 hours on the phone to arrange meetings at high schools, even in Georgia. They can get a schedule the day before they start making trips and just follow that schedule to pre-arranged meetings. On top of that, they have other staff that are charting players probably down to 8th grade or earlier. To this day, GT still has half of the recruiting support staff as Duke. Whether you want to see it or not, it has been a problem and is still a problem.
