[QUOTE="Deleted member 2897, post: 419451"] Well let me say it a different way. Our offense runs differently than most everyone else. So in my (obviously biased) opinion, the folks who vote on all conference players shouldn't be so quick to try and put our guys into a particular box because that box is what they play in. Case and point #1 - I don't care where you line up - QB, RB, WR, Slot Back, TE - if you lead arguably the best football conference in the country in a major statistical category like passing yards or rushing yards or receiving yards or touchdowns, you should be on an all conference team of some sort, be it 1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team, or honorable mention. If you compare TaQuon to other passing quarterbacks, I wouldn't vote him in that way either. But we ran the ball 85% of the time, so its pointless to compare our guys to other people that way. I just don't see how a guy that finishes 2nd in touchdowns and 3rd in rushing yards in the top football conference in the country doesn't finish on any of the 4 award teams...especially given sometimes multiple people at the same position get the award on each team. Case and point #2 - Clinton Lynch 2016: 905 total yards from scrimmage, 8 TDs, 20 yards PER TOUCH. Look at some of the guys who made all conference in 2016 (total yards from scrimmage): Artavis Scott: 625 yards, 5 TDs James Quick: 769 yards, 6 TDs Stacy Coley: 754 yards, 9 TDs, 12 yards per touch. Bucky Hodges: 733 yards, 7 TDs Elijah Hood: 1000 yards, 8 TDs, 5.8 yards per touch. Ervin Philips: 840 yards, 7 TDs, 8.5 yards per touch Bug Howard: 827 yards, 8 TDs. With Clinton Lynch, they want to either classify him as an RB or an WR, instead of (in my opinion) classifying him as an APB (all purpose back) which is what he is, so that you can count yards from scrimmage. I don't see how any reasonable person can compare what he did in 2016 to this partial list of guys who got an award and make any sort of defensible argument about why Clinton Lynch was left out.
