Wanted to share this with you Gents., and on go jackets 247. A Buzzbomb testimonial… My step-dad first introduced me to Big Al in 1969. Mr. C. told me how Baker Cox was his first account at WGST(3 furniture stores between Moreland Ave. and Spring St.). He went on to explain how he wouldn’t have gotten the Tech announcing job without Bake carpeting the dressing rooms, donating RCA televisions and the like. These were “great men” as people, first. Class acts, just as Sir Musterer is for us these days. I can’t tell you how many times during season ending football banquets at Aunt Fanny’s Cabin, Kim King would ask me to come sit next to himself or Al. These guys were Shriner’s and the positive ilk of the community. They stood up for me to become one(you need two guys to refer or stand up for you to join), and you never stand taller than when you reach down to help a child. Al had received these huge EverReady Bunnies from that sponsor with the drums attached, and we went to the hospitals with them. When running out, he made one call and hundreds more were available. I could tell stories and go on all day. Loyal, kind and loving. The greatest ever….
