The ACC Network re-aired this game a few days ago and is now up on their channel for any of those wanting to revisit for a good time. This game is special to me as it was my first Tech game I ever watched. It gave me an unrealistic expectation for what most games are like as it was a helluva comeback. Clemsoning at it’s finest here. A few fun notes: • Brent Musburger and Gary Danielson were commenting the game on ABC. I did not realize they were a team way back then, other then changing networks they have been the same as ever. • Clemson was running a spread offense way back then. 3-4 WR most plays, can’t see Oline splits though. Incorporated the read option as well. • Calvin Johnson’s coming out party, 3/4 of our TD’s were jump passes to him with two being fade routes. Levon Thomas had a great game, but disappeared after that. Our only back up QB, Bilbo, was at WR often. • P.J. Daniels was fun to watch, hate injuries kept him out so much. • Forgot about that defensive stop at the end of the game. It was epic, but over shadowed by the mis snapped punt and our TD.
