As I think about these next two games, I think....man, we could really use Broderick Snoddy.

We have plenty of other talent at A-Back with Perkins, Hill, Zenon, etc., but Snoddy has that important game-breaking speed that turns a 10-yard run into a 50-yard run. I have every confidence that UGA and FSU will leave us some running lanes...and we have got to be able to take advantage. Our margin for error is small. We are going to need some really strong play from those other guys at A-Back.

Oh, and THWG!

He really started to hit his stride (pun intended) later in the season. He seemed to change his running style, not trying to cut as much and just run past defenders. Maybe we blocked better for him, I don't know but he's a weapon we will miss.

I think Snoddy is easily the best AB on a breakaway, but we've got guys like Zennon and Andrews that I think are quicker at turning the corner and in short spaces. Zennon is pretty fast himself, he just doesn't have the power that Snoddy has to break arm tackles like he did on his big run against Clemson before the injury. You're right though, Snoddy's ability to turn a 10 yard run into a 50 yard run will be missed.

snoddy is so fast on the corner that he broke his own leg.

but i agree with you, love zenon and andrews. andrews is a natural runner.

I hope Zennon plays on fire the next couple games. He's an exciting guy to watch

Snoddy did his job this season, took some grief in the first half about being a "track" not Football athlete, and turned in a big improvement over his last few games. Definitely going to miss him the rest of the year.

Hope he rehabs well - and maybe he can come back next season as a more mature - film studied - running back with a big chance at a special senior year.

andrews and zenon will need to step up...perk needs to get back into the swing of things, his blocking was rusty vs Clemson.

I think this is a good observation. I also noticed he stopped trying to cut, and just said "f it, i'm the fastest guy in the stadium", and started to just pick an angle and GO.

It meant that sometimes he missed out on yards, yes, but it also meant that he could just put his head down and grab 8. He's fast enough to round off corners instead of cutting, and it seemed like he finally figured out how to use his strengths, and not bother with his weaknesses.
