Collins over the next 4 years has a chance to unite this fan base for the first time in decades. Let’s face it, we have split apart for one reason - lack of quality wins. Gailey won some games but never beat you know who so the fans started barking. CPJ comes in and feasts on the weaklings, beat UGA three times, but the recruiting and defense just got weaker over time. Bring in Collins and the wins have been few but everything thing else is trending up especially having a coach who isn’t perceived as a grandparent. If we start winning and win games we shouldn’t Collins could unite the fan base. I don’t think guys like Colorado is wrong at all at this point. I don’t like the constant negativity but his points are valid as of today. And I have no reason to believe that fans like Colorado will be thrilled when the Texas high school spread beats UNC and ND. My opinion is that I don’t care about the offensive system. I care about the offensive line. If they are good you could run QB sneak all the time and win. Or you could pass it around all day and win. I think as the wins build over the next 4 years our fan base will be fine and we’ll attract more fans.
