Yes, but… We do need some semblance of D, so I personally think both.

He is probably still getting paid from Duke this year so we pay him less this year and bump up his salary next year

Yep. I’ve already accepted he won’t be here long though. If our offense does what they’re capable of this year, I believe Buster lands a P5 HC gig.

This is exactly why. THis is also just salary it doesn't include whatever signing bonus we paid him.

Good problem to have. That your OC is so good he lands a HC gig.

Batt has already proven to be a great fundraiser. I think backloading like this also gives him an extra year to get the funds in the budget. Excellent work to get these deals done for both OC and DC. DC has a prove it year and a guaranteed big raise. Win win
