Really rough, especially with his mom passing recently. Hopefully he can get a medical redshirt and come back next year but I’ll always remember his toe tap TD to take the lead in the 4th against UNC last season.

We are very deep in blocking TE's. Seither and Harpring (Fr) were our faster receiving TEs and Boyd is a quality receiver with size and speed. Boyd has been practicing and playing some TE over the past year +. Perfect fit for our "emergency" needs. That is why our coaches constantly talk about building position flexibility such as OL, DL, safeties and nichols, and players like Shelley and Scott and Leary.

Really sorry for him. Worked into a starting role, and now he has lost the entire year. These kids work so hard in the off season and then something like this happens. I hope he comes back if he still wants to play another year.
