Well I live in the "crap" area called Castleberry Hills where I walk to games and I love it. Great area for me. The Braves wanted control over a project the city would have to put the majority of the cost into. You want the city to redevelop Summer Hill (which I'm lost on when people say how terrible it is when; http://www.trulia.com/for_sale/2667_nh & http://www.zillow.com/summerhill-atlanta-ga/ not to mention it's accessibility to Grant Park & Memorial Dr.), Mechanicsville, and Pittsburgh (where I mentor with a non profit) for you to control all the revenues. http://clatl.com/freshloaf/archives/2013/11/15/braves-wishlist-for-proposed-turner-field-development-included-limits-on-nearby-restaurants-8600-car-parking-deck Good riddance. With the Beltline coming and redevelopment of of that area we can have a viable improvement to the city.
