Just a 41-0 pasting from Ga Southern and UMass makes rankings history.
The only team ever to ever go from unranked to #1. Quite a debut.
Vandy postponed versus doormat Mizu to rise from 1 to 2,,Aub, UGA, Tenn and the misses are green with envy.
6 for the ACC this week lead by Syr at #9, GT is back in the saddle again at #21, UVA debut at #19

There will be fresh meat next week as B10 starts play with 7 games.
no doubt stalwarts like Rutgers,Nebraska and Illini can't wait to join the party.
maybe a surprise,who knows?

The entire Big Ten should be at the bottom 25 and only once they win a game can they move up.

Why is 2-1 florida ahead of 5-0 byu?
Why is 4-1 nc state behind 3-1 iowa state?
Why do we have preseason rankings at all when teams are all 1-0?

Rankings are arbitrary and pointless until the very last one. Who cares if OSU is ranked higher than 2-1 Florida.

It will get crazier next week trying to compare the 1 game teams with 4,5,6
Maybe he should try having a second poll for newbies for a few weeks
FIU at #6 is 0-2 but they have had 3 cancellations

I meant the one that determines which four teams get to play in the CFP and determines which teams play in which bowls. That one actually impacts the season (even if the selection process is still arbitrary).
