The one guy that could make this really interesting if he wanted to would be Merl Code. He worked for years in Nike's grassroots organization before moving over to Adidas a couple of years ago. Alot of people believe he would have alot of of knowledge of Nike's actions if he felt like spilling his guts. The Sean Miller article was interesting to. That sure sounds like someone who is not expecting to be back the following year. Addressing the fans in the arena after the game telling them what a privilege it has been coaching there the last 10 years. There is a Yahoo article about Wade and LSU which suggests LSU's actions are partially to show it is in control of the situation to try to avoid the dreaded 'lack of institutional control' charge if the NCAA comes knocking. Knowing there is at least 1 tape of Sean Miller (and could potentially be more that hasn't been revealed), AZ has to start thinking to some degree about its future and protecting itself . How many of his assts have been tagged in the last year now - 3 I believe. Also, kansas has to pay attention as well given we know there are conversations on tape of Self and some of these characters. Let's also not be naive. I doubt there is a Top 25 kid that is not being paid already. Maybe not directly by the school but definitely by the shoe companies or others. Frankly, i'd bet less than 1/3 of the Top isn't getting paid in some way.
