@Techster

It will be UNC....he can't get into school here.

CRAP. I heard about this a while back and posted in someones recruiting thread (maybe brad stewarts) that a ship to be saved for a potential transfer...I guess this is why it was given out and this won't pan out.

We have recently had transfers fron uga, bama, one miss, and ut.

It depends on how far along a guy is, and how much credit transfers over to GT...remember, the APR equation being satisfied. GT being GT, I would assume some math and science classes do not transfer over from 'Bama. If he's into his major courses, do those courses transfer into an equivalent GT major? Most schools do not accept credits for major courses or very little of them.

JJ Green transferred as a true sophomore, so I would assume he's not into his major classes yet, and if his math/science classes don't transfer over, he still has this year to take them while he's sitting out.

Chris Jackson transferred from 'Bama after his freshmen year, so it's a similar situation as JJ Green.

That's not even getting into whether or not Dee Liner has the requisite transfer GPA to satisfy GT's requirements.

Yeah, we looked at things with him..got his transcripts and figured out he couldn't get in. Probably would have had a decent shot if it wasn't for that...I expect him to commit to UNC soon. Probably on his visit.

Headline: "4* can't make two deep at Bama". All recruits need to read.

You don't want to imply that stars matter. I'm sure he was beat out by a bunch of 3*s.

I think we are in good shape now on DL. Maybe just overoptimistic. If this guy has two years left and has to sit out for one, I don't know he helps that much. Basically getting 50% efficiency (2 schollie years for one year playing) out of him. That should be a consideration too.
