Seither is missing because he was out all year from an injury.

We bring in Petty and Canales at Tackle. We bring in Joseph, Bryson, and Peay at IOL. Rouse and Roche come in at TE.

I don’t know which of the recruits will play left or right.

At left tackle, I have to think Mackenny is in the lead.

Screws, Floyd, Riggs, and Greer will be sophomores. Canales and Petty are coming in.

At right tackle, Ben Galloway will be a redshirt sophomore. He was #2 on the depth chart all year.

Both tackle groups have been thinned out in terms of depth and starters. Robinson, Brown, and Williams are graduating and moving on (I think)

I’m probably missing someone in the roster.

An early (messed up) 2025 roster is at https://ramblinwreck.com/sports/m-footbl/roster/season/2025-26/, and this year's is at https://ramblinwreck.com/sports/m-footbl/roster/season/2024-25/

At the interior -- guards and center-- Weston Franklin is graduating, our should be. Tana Alo-Tupuola Is the back up, and reportedly Harrison Moore also looks good there.

One reason I hesitate to say who is gone is because players seem to keep finding ways to get a fifth our sixth year. I don't expect that, but I leave the option open out of caution.

Harrison Moore has also taken snaps at tackle (I think) and TE, so he could end up anywhere.

By weight and height, there's almost no difference on this team between any of the positions. We did a lot of cross training at different OL positions, so it seems like anyone could move anywhere.

Josh Petty is the lightest of the incoming guys at 260 lbs. Canales is 280, Bryson is 290, Peay is 310, and Joseph is 315. I'm not saying these guys could start tomorrow--but they already have the size.

The smallest OL on the roster is Joshua Ruder at 270 (r-Fr). Most are over 300 lbs.

We have 14 r-So our younger OL on the roster. We have a lot of underclassmen.

Fusile should be back, and you'd think he'll start again. Rutledge will almost certainly start again (first team all ACC). I wouldn't be shocked to see Moore move to one of the tackle positions or see some other shifting around.

Most of the freshmen have a shot at starting, but there are some big guys who already have a year or two ahead of them. A lot of our roster is underclassmen.

I'd be optimistic about the OL.

Getting transfers is going to be interesting. A lot of players want to go somewhere that is easy to win a starting position, and is getting a lot harder to win those jobs here. There is playing time to be had.

We need a long snapper.

Not sure I’d trust the recruiting service listing for Petty. He’s wrestled at the 285 weight class since his sophomore year (state champ ‘23 and runner up ‘24). Reports of him currently being around 285. He’s enrolling early and I doubt size will be much of an issue whether he gets playing time next year or not.

Our tackles handled straight up no rpo pass blocking much better at end of season than at beginning.
To do pass pro against better teams with athletic defensive ends our TACKLES NEED TO HAVE LENGTH AND BE ATHLETIC.

TO run outside we need athletic pullimg guard. I saw us use Moore in this role last part of year. Fusile was good at helping in the middle and helped the center with war daddy.

It seems we are headed for more athletics and most of the ol.

Petty coming in with hype and tackles corey and brown ( each w one year left) leaving shows:
1. Gt will need players with one hmyesr left to be near all acc level to make way for younger talent to devlope.

And or

2. We are going to have athletic tackles so we can pass pro to 5-7 seconds.

Or ( i hope not)
3. Money and hype for Petty is poisoning the ol room.

I think its 1 and 2.
We are changing from a thin ol to a deep athletic ol

PS . Watch Oregon O L - they all can move.

I thought Greer and Floyd from last years OL class were supposed to be studs. Are they still here? Anyone heard anything about them.

I used the roster weights from ramblingwreck.com, but they aren’t great either.

I’d love to see people flesh this out. I’m just throwing this out to get it started.

I think mostly that schools with good OLs tend to get good linemen that keep their OL playing well. We have a good OL and we’ve had two recruiting classes under Geep. I think we should also get a couple of good transfers.

OL is the least of my concerns in the offseason

3 Starters are gone, Franklin, Williams and Robinson. 2 underclassmen have seen a good bit of playing time, Harrison and McKinney. That leaves one spot to be filled. There is a lot of talk about Harrison moving to Center so that leaves one of the tackle spots open assuming McKinney will man one of them. From what I have seen, Jamison Riggs is probably the next man up for that spot. Galloway and Screws get a lot of praise but I have yet to see them take the field. There are a lot of guys down the line like Greer, Alo-Tupeola and Floyd might emerge but doubtful. None of the incoming guys will play. Petty is too small and will need at least a year to bulk up. The big boy we steered away from FSU, Peyton Joseph has the size but appears to be out of shape and will probably redshirt unless he really gets after it in the weight room and training table.

In summary we will probably be less stout at the beginning of the season and have to build toward being decent mid to late season. I think the O line will be better in 2026 than in 2025.

In an interview on Wednesday he, Petty, said he was at 265. He also said he knows he’s going to have to put on some weight.

Good rundown. There will be a lot of competition in the Spring and Summer for playing time on the OL.

My guess is:

LT McKenny (RS-So)
LG Fusile (RS-SR)
C Moore (So)
RG Rutledge (Sr)
RT Galloway (Sr)

With top backups being Screws and Petty at OT, and Alo-Tupuola and Best at OG.

IMO you have to play Petty as a true Freshman next year with the amount he’s earning. I wouldn’t start the year with him but I would pack on the pounds and start him second half of the year if he’s ready.
