Just 1 game, of course. That said .... let's make some snap judgments!!
- Knicks are gonna be a mess. The team has talent in the first 7 or so guys, but their games/careers are so mismatched. Porzingis should be the future but you have Rose going for his next/likely last big contract, Noah in win-now mode mentally but in go-lay-down mode physically and Melo ... well, being Melo.
- CLE has a chip on their shoulder but will the season keep their attention?
- GState will take some time to figure it out but they have no depth and defensively won't be great. Will they keep missing shots? Probably not so no need to panic. On Durant, saw some of the same disinterest in losses he showed in OKC.
SA - Just 1 game but them dudes came out with a point to prove. What a fun game to watch. They said, "oh you got a big 4? Well we got a big team." The surprising thing was how much they went big vs. GS but weren't burned for it. Kawhi translates to "beast" in some Slavic languages.
