You can see the team lacks confidence in a couple of areas. Handling pressure full court, as CDS said in his post game presser you have to attack when yo brake the press and we did not attack. Reeves struggled inbounding the ball. He acted like he couldn't move off the spot after a bade basket. I suspect that will improve as the season move along. Penn State's guards were quicker than our guards which caused several turnovers. Gapare and Ndongo showed that they both have very high upsides. It's not likely at this point we see that on a nightly basis but they are both very inexperienced players so I am very encouraged by their play. The 2 PG set with George and Sturdivant was a disaster. The team basically all stood around and looked clueless. I understand why CDS wanted Kyle in the game but he did not help at all with the pressure late in the game. Coleman was very good vs the pressure. He is big enough to be a good target for passes and he is very solid with the ball, virtually never turns it over. I loved the last play for a shot in OT. Great pass from George to Ndongo and even better pass to a wide open Reeves for a 3. I suspect he hits that shot is it comes about again. As Ndongo matures he also could have finishes at the rim as I believe he had Puff Johnson guarding him. He can easily overpower guys like Puff. Really good win for the guys. Kelly will find his stroke.
