8-4 is a record we should be proud of, a good season with a chance to go 9-4 with a bowl. A 9 win year, hell yea! I will take that any year. I don't think many of the people here understand how awful it is to be a 4-8 team or a 5-7 team. Many of us I am sure are also Falcons fans. How much fun has it been watching the falcons play the past two years... Wouldn't you rather have us make the playoffs and lose, than go 4-12 for years in a row. You think 7-5 leads to apathy, wait and see what 4-8 leads to.. Levels of disinterest and empty seats you never imagined. One thing with Paul Johnson that you have to at least give him credit for is that we have been in all but a couple of games we have played the past 6 seasons. And we have played some very good teams and even won a bunch of them! I think Paul is a great coach, and you have to appreciate all that he has accomplished and that we have enjoyed. Last year was our worst year under his leadership, with a sputtering confused offense. He followed it up with his most consistent and productive to date. As far as being a fan is concerned, I would rather be great at one thing, than decent at both (Chan). And I would rather be great at offense than defense, look how painful it is to watch a Florida game. With us, at least you get highlights even in a loss. Anyways an 8 or 9 win season can get you preseason ranked the next year, and that's more excitement in an offseason than we have had in a while. I think of GT as a top 25 program, and that's where I want us to be. It's more fun to complain about not being top 10 when you're 20th in the country than complaining about not making a bowl. Enjoy the season for what it is, we have a lot to achieve in front of us, let's go take care of business.
