Looks like another tick mark in the W column tonight!
That was a hard fought game. We got up 20 early and it looked like we were gonna cruise, but UVA didn't quit. They kept working and got our lead down to 2 points in the 4th before we went on a run and finished them off. Morgan with some big drives for layups and Termis hits a killer 3 with a minute left. Dani kept us ahead with clutch shooting throughout the 2nd and 3rd periods when UVA was really pushing. Kara Dunn had an off game with an uncharacteristic 4 points.

Glad to hear Dani is back and brought her game with her. Couldn’t watch but thrilled to see us win by double digits.

I watched the game on my iPad which means it is hard to identify players and the camera just doesn’t cover the half court completely. Carnegie’s shoopting touch was on and she drew a lot of attention and fouls. I thought she did not have fully normal acceleration on fast breaks but it was hard to see In TV. The fast break was not smoothly executed, several turnovers just were returned back over. Morgan continues to be the hardest driving and most effective point guard in the paint in the country. Fortner’s player rotations focus on maintaining energy for the whole game even when the lead dwindles. That strategy was certainly key last night.

Duke is next on Sunday. It is huge. If you have a ticket, show up. It will be fun. We will be in the 101.

I agree, and I think she was holding back a little and not trying to get overextended. Smart, and still a pleasure to watch. See everyone on Sunday. It's a big one. Go Jackets!
