Hi folks, after a bit of a marathon game against VT where we came up just short, the Ladies look to rebound against Louisville on Sunday at 4pm on the ACCN. Tune in and cheer them to a bounce back victory!

I think this team is getting exposed by the better teams in the conference. Without Carnegie it's a two person team.

The lack of a big laying into teams with a will is creating issues. That said, still a good team and I think we can turn things around.
You’re right. And Lorela Cubaj is the only big we’ve had in years who actually jumped to get rebounds. Termis, Hermosa, and Wone-Aranaz all stood on tiptoes and reached for the ball.

Entered the VT game ranked #13. Within 10 days the team will likely be on a 4 game losing streak and out of consideration for the tournament. I am worried.

Watching the game, I thought we had a lot more turnovers than they did, but it was close.
The difference is what Louisville did with our turnovers....22 points on our 16 turnovers. We got 9 points of 15 UL turnovers. I am curious what folks think of ChitChat Wright? IMO, she makes use of every bit of talent she possesses as a true freshman, but is limited by her height/weight. It will be interesting to see how she progresses in future years.

I think the major issue yesterday was when Dunn had to sit out most of the second quarter with two fouls. That's when Louisville started to pull away from us. That left Morgan all alone as our only legitimate scorer on the court. It also allowed the Cards to sag off the perimeter back into the paint which cut off Morgan's drives to the basket. Wright can shoot it outside but her height doesn't allow her to get her shot off unless she is wide open. Also having both Smith and Blackshear on the court at the same time hurts the 5 out offense because nobody is afraid of them hitting the three. I really think we need Augustanaite on the court more to spread out the defense. Yesterday she only played 5 minutes. She is the only other player we have that is capable of getting hot from deep while Carnegie is out. Finally, Blackshear needs to be more productive than she has been of late. It seems like she has lost confidence in her shot.
