Judging by comments three weeks ago, demoting Thacker was going to solve all of our defensive woes. Now I see we’ve all decided to pile on Coach Key. Makes no sense to me.

You sir have that 100% right and several coaches under Collins found that out the hard way. As time progressed we learned it was Collins who was the problem, not the coaches he fired.

Thacker was one of two co-defensive coordinators. Coach Key brought in Coach Sherrer and also named him co-defensive coordinator for this season. That makes me wonder how much authority Thacker really had. Sherrer was Key’s hire. Collins hired Thacker and he was a holdover. Geoff Collins...
