    Nc State Postgame

I didn't think they had a 95% chance to win the game at any point. After they scored, there was a minute-thirty left, and with Philo and our receivers I felt like we had a decent chance to come back.

    Hate Week Opening Line

Agreed. Also, I think one major key is finding a way to run the ball enough to make the passing game effective. If we can do that, Philo and our receivers give us a fighting chance. I have faith in our passing game if we can run the ball some, too. But that, as they say, is a big if.

    Hate Week Opening Line

Hmm, brings to mind Pittsburgh (2022), North Carolina (2022), and Miami (2023) - all of them 20-point favorites and all losers to the Jackets. We don't yet have one of those this year and we're overdue for another one.

I dunno. I wonder if they gave him a break because if they didn't, he'd have to miss half the game against the hated pups of the SEC. Fine with me. We owe 'em one.

    Nc State Postgame

I was glad he scored, because we still had 1:30 left to come back. Then we left 22 seconds and that was almost too much time.

Glad to see Boyd targeted with some passes. I want to see some more of that next week.

    Nc State Postgame

The only thing I can think of as a reason targeting wasn't called was that it was deemed Efford didn't launch. I was thinking about the Ugag game, which he would have had to miss the first half of had it been enforced. I think we caught a big break with that one.

    Nc State Postgame

I think the kicker was trying to judge the wind, which was gusting. Very difficult to do - he thought it would blow the kick back between the uprights, but it didn't. Hell of a kick.

Wins today & against Ugag would put the Jackets in the top 20.

    NC State Preview

Duke only rushed for 74 yards on 20 carries against the Jackets. They're rushing for less than 100 yds. a game and a 3.2 average per carry on the season, so their poor showing against the Wolfpack is probably more about Duke's puny rushing game than NC State's rushing defense.

ESPN talking heads yakking up Ugag as a potential 3-loss at-large participant in the CFP. Did I hear that right?

    Early Cesspool Plans

I've been to numerous games in Athens (I live here). I've only had one major hostile interaction, and none violent. I also avoid 316. My route between Atlanta and Athens has been I-20, then take the Sigman Road exit (avoiding the worst of the traffic in Conyers) to 138 and then US 78. It's a...

That's what I was thinking as well. A Ugag loss to UT could be an emotional factor in our favor in COFH.

    NC State Preview

Extra motivation for them is that they're still not bowl eligible. Add to that the fact Tech is coming off a big upset win and NC State looks like trouble. The extra time off will help in that regard. Hope we've got out chin straps cinched up tight.
