I think he is back in school because he wants a Georgia Tech degree and he has a lot of credits toward the degree. He must have realized he is not going to make it to the NFL. I don't think football is even a consideration.
He sure looked like he is more physical and he is still quick with his feet. He showed how strong he is when he carried about 3 or 4 big guys into the endzone last year from about the 5 yd line. He could have a big year.
UK basketball fans still see themselves as the equal of what Alabama has been in football. Cal was not using the transfer portal for whatever reason and his one and done model wasn't working like it did before this rampant transferring. It will be difficult to follow him at UK regardless.
That may be his Achilles heel. It got him benched at A&M plus he got injured. He needs to stay healthy like last year and cut down INT's for us to have a really good year.
Clemson and FSU want SEC level money. Do they really care if it's SEC or B1G? They just think they need comparable income to compete at the national level and they don't think the ACC can provide it.
Had it to -3 at one point. I hope he makes the cut. Wind is playing havoc now which may help him keep within the cut if he can hold it together tomorrow. I am going to the US Open in Pinehurst this summer. Hope he plays there.
I expect improvement on defense. I have been going to at least one or two Duke games for many years now plus their games on tv up here in RTP. There was a real improvement when Elko was there and we have two of his best guys now. It was noticeable how much better their tackling had improved...
