  1. Duke Baseball

I'm not disagreeing, but also, record in ACC series, by day (well, by game. Double headers and Easter weekend aside). Friday: 3-5 Saturday: 4-4 Sunday: 5-3
  2. Auburn

Auburn played well. They robbed us of two 2-run HRs over the wall. They made a hell of a throw at home and caught Burress napping. We also had a couple of botched plays that should have ended innings but led to runs. Hats off to their outfield. It made the difference. But I'm not sure I'd...
  3. Auburn

I don't agree with your post, but I understand why you'd feel that way after tonight. That was frustrating.
  4. Auburn

A win today is +7 RPI points, a loss is -56. Need to hold serve. Here's to hoping we don't give up 8 2-out runs in the first inning again... Who's pitching tonight?
  5. @Clemson Baseball

Weather forced a doubleheader on Friday instead. Rubber match still today.
  6. @Clemson Baseball

Looks like he's been playing his best ball recently. Last four starts went pretty deep, and a combined 2 runs allowed. Agreed, need to run him out of the game quick. Give me those 9-pitch ABs!
  7. @Clemson Baseball

"Predicted results" now has us losing a close one on Sunday, then winning SEVEN STRAIGHT including the Auburn midweek, sweeping Duke, and taking the first two vs the noles. I know it doesn't mean much, but that is a big swing from before today. If that happens, we have to be on the fringe of...
  8. @Clemson Baseball

I cannot believe we pulled that off. This team is not without it's struggles, but they will not give up.
  9. @Clemson Baseball

While not what I was hoping to see, I get it. These kids have been on a roll - keeping them in their routine can have a benefit. Let's win the first one.
  10. @Clemson Baseball

    I mean, this isn't uGA...
  11. @Clemson Baseball

What I hate is when you hear "this team is really great but their RPI needs some work." It happens this time every year. Their RPI doesn't "need work," you just need to consider other metrics too. I think RPI is a great representation of a teams SOS, it's just overrated as a predictor of...
  12. @Clemson Baseball

I'll continue to pick two until we don't. This team can beat anybody.
  13. 2024 Season

College Baseball Nation has us ranked #25.
  14. Miami Baseball

I don't want to put too much emphasis on beating up on a bad Miami team. But I will put emphasis on sustained results. This team has found some real consistency, and I'm optimistic we'll come to play these last three series. This is getting fun.
  15. Miami Baseball

The hokies could be a couple of Q1 wins if they manage to win a few. I think our resume needs them and NCSU to keep winning. I guess it's a balance between RPI and ACC standings.
  16. Miami Baseball

Their starter isn't some world-beater. He's pitched on Sunday for all 7 ACC Series. Generally lasts 4 to 6 innings, and only once limited their opponent to fewer than 5 runs. If we need to beat these guys like Virginia last weekend, I'm fine with that.
  17. Miami Baseball

I'd call our three best series so far NCSU (home), VT (home), and UVA (away).
  18. 2024 ACC Baseball

There's a real chance they're a tournament team. Your point stands, but that loss isn't turning out to be the disaster it felt like at the time.
  19. 2024 Season

They have us in Coastal Carolina's bracket as the #3 seed. The mutts are the #2 seed. Honestly? Bring it. We owe them one. We could totally make it out of that regional.
  20. Miami Baseball

If the target is 6 more wins, the cleanest route is a sweep of Miami and 1-2 vs Duke, FSU, and Clemson. I like us to get to .500 or better, but sweeps are hard. I'm picking two here, and we show out against Duke.
