I think it was as simple as Saban and Meyer coming to the SEC winning 9 NC's between the 2 of them. Urban Meyers UF team upset a heavily favored Ohio State team in 2007. Bama then proceeded to curb stomp a bunch of teams in the BCS championship games. Through in Cam Newton's Auburn year, and...
The BIG gets some bump because of their massive fans bases and the historic, blue blood nature of several of their teams. Not saying anyone here but that's something most people in the south in my experience don't get, that those are large state schools with huge fanbases, similar to the SEC...
The assumption is that they are doing something rational but it's possible that they aren't. It's likely a handful of individuals making these decisions. GT left the SEC and turned down the BIG, were either of those decision rational, much less some kind of 3D chess? No, they were ****ty...
That's how it's always been but this is the last year of it. With the 12 team playoff and more importantly automatic bids for conference champs everyone has a settled on the field path to the playoffs.
You had a better overall vantage point than me, I was in the club section and can't see the upper east. I don't know how it looked to you or on TV but the club section was largely tech fans, way more uga fans than you would like but at least 70% tech fans. This was significantly better than...
Well the commentators were clearly wrong. It was the best home GT crowd in this game in years and no where near 50/50 even. The larger West stand which don't get as much TV time were largely tech fans which wasn't the case Collins last year.
If was there and there were clearly more GT fans than UGA. Why do tech fans always exaggerate the number of opposing fans? Is it the ones who watch on TV with the TV cameras trained on the East Stands? I seriously don't get it.
On top of the oline being overwhelmed Clemson was playing mostly tight m2m coverage and we couldn't get separation. Maybe he made some bad reads but the throws that he was making were to tightly covered receivers and safety help. Having some larger receivers and pass catching TE's I think...
I agree and I don't know why everyone assumes that we will win 1 or 2 out of every 10 with how good they've gotten and the overall talent gap trends between the true elites and the rest of college football. Us and a lot of teams could lose 15 or 20 games in a row. Most of the SEC will struggle...
Yea, totally agree but I feel that we are in the minority. The top 4 teams should be a beauty contest and not even completely tied to results on the field, hence the push to get Bama in the playoffs last year with 2 losses and not even playing in their conference championship. Bama did get in...
Did that account for the transfer portal? Curious how long these coaches expect Deon to take in order to upgrade Colorado's roster so that they are competitive in the PAC 12.
