This. For all of our talk of being a run first team, we had trouble just running the ball for short yards in critical situations. Is it because of our small RBs? Blocking scheme? I don't know.
A shame that's the case. I saw the Rolling Stones at Bobby Dodd and MBS. BDS is far superior for a concert. MBS sounds like you are in a sewer pipe with all of the reverb off the metal roof.
To be fair, that's their default position in any game. If had a dime for every time I heard a guy in red and black yell "Damn zebras!" during a game I could retire.
Glad to sit in the cold for a win. I really thought we had the game handled until we didn't. And I thought we were going to lose on a FG (before the TD).
The game was like the rest of the season for me...some awesome plays that make me think we can beat anyone, then terrible series where we...
This game was the 2nd in a row where I had to tell multiple people to move because they were in the way and I couldn't see the game. Lots of people just hanging out on the railing at the portal. It's annoying, but tells me we are doing better filling seats.
The Duke D was very well coached. They were in position to make plays and were making one handed tackles all night. Just a touch was enough to get our guys on the ground.
I don't think Thacker was better, but so far I don't see an upgrade in our D either. We still give up 3rd and long and can't pressure most QBs we play. Our guys still seem out of position and our DBs are not in a position to contest the ball because they are 3 steps behind. We rely on individual...
I thought we were very vanilla on D last Saturday. I hope that was the reason we didn't look so sharp and not something deeper. Our guys stepped up and made plays individually, but the overall game plan looked weak. Can't do that against 'Cuse.
I don't know if numbers back it up, but I thought we played better than expected, and FSU did not. We are probably better than everyone thinks, and they are not as good as everyone thinks.
I saw a very well coached GT football team on Saturday. That is great to see.
Continuing to have the empty Gold seats right behind the opposing team sideline (a perfect background for every wide shot on TV), is my biggest gripe with the GTAA. It's an unforced error. Fix that before addressing the Upper North please.
NC, 10 years ago or so? I remember it raining enough that the casuals left the stands. Then it began to rain more. Around the middle of the game there was so much rain I couldn't see the players on the field from the upper stands. At that point I was already so wet it didn't matter any more so I...
Some progress was made last year, but I have long been on record in favor of upgrading the team entrance. The Wreck is iconic leading the players out of the tunnel, but that's all we have right now. Something that gets the whole place rocking is needed.
The last time I saw that dude he was punching his TV after a UGA loss. It looks like he's upped his YT game a good bit, or is he still broadcasting from his garage?
There are lots of Uga fans who are unable to go to games in Athens because they can't get tickets. So every other year they buy for the Tech game. I talked to one in line for beer on Saturday. He was really happy to be able to see his team live, CofH was the only game he is able to get into.
I...
That seems low but I'll take it. The Mutts have so many weapons it's hard for even good defenses to cover everything every play. They score fast and often. It would be great if our offense can keep up but other than Auburn and Mizzu, nobody else has been able to do that this year.
