    Improved OL

I expect us to be 25% improved on day 1, just from experience, return of injured and transfers. By mid year I look for about a 50% improvement and at year end , I expect us to be 75% better. Part of that is because we were soooo bad last year. So how do those percentages translate to wins with a...

Thoughts? Could Collins turn the program around faster than expected?

Agree. I may be setting myself up for a letdown, but I prefer being optimistic until, or when, the reality smacks me in the face.

    Brutal schedule / expectations

And for UGA, the coaching turnover. When we have had that, the first year can be a struggle. It is not COMPLETELY about talent sometimes.

    Lucas Johnson Entering Transfer Portal

I wish him the best. In Football, as in Life, timing is everything. He has some nice skills. I hope he gets a solid chance to show people what he can do.

    Quarterback for next year

As I mentioned in another thread. I think JG CAN do it, but it takes a COMMITMENT to work with a paid tutor starting right after this season, so he would be prepared to show significant improvement in the spring. If he doesn't, or he just presumes he is the starter, he will get left behind-...

    Quarterback for next year

A lot of the other P5 QBs are athletes who have developed better passing skills. That's where OUR starting QB will be determined, IMO. We have guys who can run, NOT dropback types, but their passing skills vary widely. Can JG develop his accuracy and touch ? That is a learnable/teachable skill...

    Dave Patenaude's Offense

For me, the "jury" is still out on P'naude. I thought the year seemed ragged, with no progressing timeline on Offense. "Fits and Starts". The multiple sets and variations seemed to confuse our guys more than the other team. In hindsight, with limited manpower , in a transition year, a very...

    Quarterback for next year

Graham , if he remains academically eligible , will either win , or lose, the starting job in the spring. If he is inconsistent in the spring, the train may just leave without him. Mental toughness and leadership are going to be priorities next year, and JG needs to show some, IMO.

    Academic Requirements for Recruits

People who we recruit against still continue to spread scary stories about academics at Tech, but I think we are getting better at combating it. Having assistant coaches/ former SAs, like Choice , Burton and Coleman on the recruiting trail helps a lot, IMO. Plus current SAs on twitter, etc. can...

Assistant Coaching changes in the off season ?

Assistant Coaching changes in the off season ?

We will know very early next year. Take the attached list from 4 days ago and start guessing. And this is only the beginning of the cycle. https://247sports.com/Season/2020-Football/TransferPortal/?status=uncommitted

Good post ! We need some good news in the early signing period.

Assistant Coaching changes in the off season ?

Yeah dream on. With the transfers like they are now, they will have the best QB money can buy.

    Georgia Postgame

I completely agree on this. After summer practice, fall practice and 11 games , we should have things down better than we have. I agree we get outmanned at many positions, but we still seem to struggle on decision making more than getting outmanned. To my way of thinking , there are 4 ways to...
