Yes he is hiring the DC. Also, Iowa reported back in the beginning of December that they were hiring a new OC. They still haven't hired one yet.
Quick to fire and slow to hire is CBK way of doing things. If you are slow hire and get the right man for the job. Then the quick to fire should not...
Yes and no. There is some coaches who hire their staff and not the coordinators. Nick Saban is an example.
It could be a coordinator has agreed to come based on getting a certain list of position coaches.
Last year Kyle Pope was someone Key wanted but it didn't workout. Also, Key was also...
I could be wrong. It would be the first time. I just know what Elko liked to run.
Personally I think a 4-3 MD would help out our run defense. Just my opinion.
But with Pope and Simpson on staff. How ever they want to title them and who coaches what. I feel we are in good hands.
That is false! He is not on Dukes coaching staff. Manny Diaz hire Jonthan Patke as the nes DCand LB coach. The same position that Santucci was. Even KQ has him as unemployed. So he is unemployed.
As for Thacker and Tillman they were moved to off-field positions but we they will not be retained...
So mike elko ran a more 3-4 defense. Duke ran what Elko wanted to run not Santucci. Durkin ran a 4-2-5 multiple defense. Depending on the team they faced. He would run a 3-2-6 when facing Ole Miss. He did use some 4-3 as well at times
The DC that have been talked about and seem to be in the running. They run a more traditional 4-3 defense. I think we go to a more of a 4-3 multiple defense.
You can but he would be suspended the first year. Which makes no sense to hire him. But also, who hires him is subjected to penalties as well. Depends on if the NCAA approves or not.
Pruitt is a no go! He is serving a six-year show-cause for his role. Pruitt's show-cause includes a 100% suspension for the first year of employment should an NCAA school hire in him in any athletics position. If he is not hired in those 6 years. When his time is up he can go back to coaching...
I stand corrected. I think I got them confused with someone else. But this might be a situation were Simpson is the Co-DC and DL coach. Pope is the DE/OLB coach. If we hire Santucci as the DC then he runs the defense and coaches the LB's. Simular to how Thacker, Colman, and Knight did in the...
Yes they both have been DL coaches in their pervious stop. But both have coach LB's as well. I think Pope will be the LB coach and Simpson the Co-DC and DL coach.
From what I have seen and heard it looks like Sherrer might be a Defensive analyst position.
The odds are low. It's not that if Bama wants him or not. It is the fact of his past history at Maryland makes the odds low.
This is not going to be a flashy hire. This will be a strong solid hire. Key is taking his time to make the best hire.
