In my modest coaching experience, I altered the scheme, as other posters discussed, to add elements to help the overall scheme. i.e. more screening, backdoor movement. Basic offense and defense always start with free the ball and stop the ball. Rhythm begins with ball movement. Disrupt that...

It already has a name, which we played when we were kids. It's called f#ck your buddy. Usually played as take your buddy's girlfriend, dog, starting shortstop position, etc. Some play it by taking coach's significant others, coeds, QBs, etc.....

I'm some ways, I expected a sophomore slump from Baye and Nait, but both are really struggling and our complimentary pieces aren't complimenting very well. I don't think we are as bad as we've looked early, but we probably still aren't going to be good when we do improve this year.
